Guber Race: PDP Fixes Date For Primaries In Kogi, Bayelsa
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday, June 16, released dates for the conduct of its primaries ahead of the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.
According to a short statement from the party obtained by Newsflash247, the primary elections to determine PDP’s candidates in Kogi and Bayelsa states will hold on September 3.
The party said the dates had been approved by its National Working Committee (NWC).
According to the PDP, the ward congresses to elect the three-man ad-hoc delegates is scheduled for Thursday, August 22 while the local government area congress for the national delegates would take place on Monday, August 26.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also urged the European Union (EU) and other international communities to continue to monitor electoral process in Nigeria.
PDP’s deputy national chairman (South), Yemi Akinwonmi, made the call when he received a delegation of EU Elections Observation Mission at the party’s Presidential Campaign Office on Friday, June 14, in Abuja.
