Ali Ndume, Senator represents Borno South under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as a nationalist and friend that attracts people across political divides.
Senator Ndume who said this on Wednesday while commissioning the 11.5kms Alesa Agbonchia-Oyigbo road which connects Eleme and Oyigbo Local Government Areas in Rivers State said Governor Wike is a true Nigerian, adding that it was this attribute of the governor that has attracted him and other APC Governors to the State.
He described Gov Wike as a true Nigerian and a trusted leader as he said Wike typifies a model leader that has the boldness to stand out for the truth even when he has to stand alone.
He said, “If we had people like you that speak the truth to power Nigeria would have been better off for all of us.”
Ndume explained that he has been conversant with the state right from his Secondary School days in Port Harcourt and with the infrastructural development going on in the state Governor Wike is restoring the garden city status of Port Harcourt.
The lawmaker went on to commend the peace and security being enjoyed in Rivers State as he said that wasn’t the case in parts of the country.
He urged the host communities of the road project to contribute their quota by protecting and maintaining the infrastructure.
