Gov Oyebanji Grants Car Loans to 368 Ekiti Civil Servants
The Ekiti State Government has announced the approval of another round of car loans for its civil servants. The total amount of the loans is N136,260,000 and it will benefit 368 workers across different grade levels.
The Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Akin Oyebode, confirmed that Governor Biodun Oyebanji approved the allocation of N200 million for the loan scheme. He also revealed that the governor approved the settlement of N174,394,176.88 in outstanding deductions from salaries to cooperative societies and the Federal Mortgage Bank.
Oyebode explained that the loan amounts vary from N80,000 to N1.5 million, depending on the grade levels of the beneficiaries. He gave a breakdown of the loan distribution as follows:
- 22 officers on grade levels 2 to 6 will get N80,000 each
- 180 officers on grade levels 7 to 10 will get N250,000 each
- 150 officers on grade levels 12 to 14 will get N500,000 each
- 13 officers on grade levels 15 to 17 will get N750,000 each
- 3 officers on consolidated salary will get N1.5 million each
He also recalled that the Ekiti State Government had disbursed N130.7 million as car loans in December 2022.
