Four residents shot dead as Customs clash with smugglers in Oyo
No fewer than four residents were reportedly shot dead in Iseyin town, Oyo State during a clash between some Customs officers and smugglers.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when some residents were still celebrating the Eld-Fitri festival.
Sources informed that the four people died as a result of gunshots they sustained when the customs officers were engaging the smugglers.
It was learnt that the customs officers started shooting after intercepting smuggled goods coming through the borders.
Newsflash Nigeria gathered that some of those hit by stray bullets were residents who were on ground to enjoy Eld-Fitri celebrations.
It was gathered that four people reportedly died as a result of the gunshots they sustained.

The fifth person was seriously injured.
Following the death of the people, youths took to the streets protesting the killing of their kinsmen.
