Finally, Atiku meets Govs Wike, Makinde, Ortom, Ikpeazu in London
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar met Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers in London.
Atiku meet Wike, hours after former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, met with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi; and the Rivers State Governor.
A photograph on Thursday evening emerged showing a meeting with former Vice President and Governor Wike.
Details of the meeting between Governor Wike and Alhaji Atiku that presumably took place in London are not yet clear.
However, it may be centred around reconciliation between the duo after things turned sour after the PDP presidential primaries.
Those seen to present at the meeting aside from Atiku and Wike were Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
Ahmadu Fintiri, Governor of Adamawa, who heads Abubakar’s delegation for peace talks with Wike’s team, was also in the meeting.
The meeting also comes days after Wike and his associates met with Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in France.
Newsflash Nigeria had reported how Abubakar travelled to the UK on Wednesday in a last-ditch effort to reconcile with Wike amid the latter’s association with members of the APC.
Previous attempts by Abubakar to reconcile with Wike have proved abortive.
