FCCPC to Permanently Delist Illegal Loan Apps from Google Play Store

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has announced that it will permanently delist two loan applications from the Google Play Store for harassing Nigerians.

The two loan apps, Getloan and Camelloan, are operated by Sycamore Integrated Solutions Limited and Purple Credit Limited, respectively.

The FCCPC said that it took the decision to delist the two apps after receiving complaints from Nigerians who said that they were being harassed by the apps.

The commission also said that it will soon release a complete list of illegal (unregistered) digital loan apps operating in Nigeria.

The FCCPC has been cracking down on illegal digital loan apps in recent months. In June, the commission announced that it had shut down 30 illegal digital loan apps.

The commission has warned Nigerians to be careful when dealing with digital loan apps and to only use apps that are registered with the FCCPC.
