Fayose reveals the time he will be released from EFCC custody
This was disclosed in a tweet by his media aide, Lere Olayinka on Friday.
Olayinka said the ex-governor has filed and verified all necessary documents for his bail.
The tweet read: “On Governor Fayose bail, as at 2pm today, all necessary documents were filed before the court and verified.
“Hopefully, he should be out of custody by Monday. We thank Nigerians for their support.”
Fayose was on Wednesday granted N50m bail after being arraigned before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of corruption.
The judge asked him to provide a surety who must have landed property in Lagos. The guarantor is also required to have three-year tax clearance in Lagos.
Fayose is facing an 11-count charge bordering on receiving illegal monies to fund his 2014 governorship campaign in Ekiti State, among other allegations of benefiting from proceeds of money laundering.
