Fayose praises Olujimi over good gestures shared with Muslims in Ekiti

Ahead of the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State, the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may likely to resolve their internal crisis as the former governor, Ayodele Fayose, has commended the good gestures shared by the Senator representing Ekiti South, Biodun Olujimi to the Muslims Faithful on behalf of the party.

Senator Olujimi on Saturday shared food items and praying kits for the Imams, Supreme Councils and all the Muslims Faithful in her Senatorial district and beyond.

Newsflash Nigeria had reported that the camps of the two rivals, the former governor, Ayodele Fayose, and Senator Biodun Olujimi, the Senator representing Ekiti South in the National Assembly had been in a battle of supremacy, verbal attacks and legal battles for a while.

Though, before the zonal congress of the party in the zone, the leaders of the two camps had met at a hotel in Lagos on March 9, 2021, to resolve their internal wrangling.

Many believed it was a politics but since then, the two supporters had averted verbal accusations and use of foul languages against each other.

Though, the two camps were not on the same page during the just concluded keenly contested congress of Peoples Democratic Party in the southwest zone but the former governor Ayo Fayose reiterated that “it was family affairs, winning elections in the zone and rescuing Nigerians form APC is the major concern and thereby promised not to challenge the outcome of the congress in any court of law”.

Also Senator Biodun Olujimi in her speech said “No winner no vanquished, it’s a family affairs and I sincerely thank our leaders in the zone, we must join hands and work together to rescue our people from the maladministration of the All Progressives Congress”.

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, Senator Olujimi shared food items for all the Muslims Faithful in her Senatorial district and beyond.

It was amazing when the former governor Ayodele Fayose took to the official WhatApp platform of the party to praise and appreciate the senator for the good intentions.

Fayose wrote:

“Can we all appreciate the good Intentions of Sen. Biodun Olujimi particularly done in the name of PDP.

“It is important to acknowledge her contributions that will enhance the fortune of the party rather than trivializing it.

“Distinguished we thank God for you. Please keep it up” Fayose said.

This statement douse tensions in the party and it’s a hope that the party is ready to come together and to chase the APC away from the state.
