Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has reiterated his desire to continue to make life more comfortable for farmers in Ekiti State. Mr. Fayose said in spite of financial challenges being encountered by his administration,
Interfacing with farmers at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, Fayose summoned the Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Kehinde Odebunmi and the leadership of Ekiti Chapter of All Farmers’ Association of Nigeria(AFAN) to a meeting with him on Monday 11th December 2017. Agenda of the meeting, the governor said is to get all necessary papers signed for loans that will benefit the farmers.
Welcoming the Ekiti State governor and his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola to the interactive session, Chairman, Ekiti State Chapter of AFAN, Barr. Ademola Okeya thanked governor Fayose for his support for the association in time past. He called on the governor to establish cottage industries in the state so as to facilitate the exportation of their farm produce.
Barr. Okeya promised governor Fayose that loan repayment by members of his association will not be difficult since every of its member is duly registered.
