Fayose Clashes With Channels TV Host, Dares Critics to Sue Him Over His Wealth and Governance
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has challenged those who are unhappy with his wealth and governance to take legal action against him.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader made this statement during an interview on Channels Television, where he was asked to publish details of his tenure as governor of the state.
The interviewer, Seun Okinbaloye, said that some people were curious about how Fayose acquired his wealth and whether he used the state’s funds judiciously while in office.
Fayose dismissed the question as meaningless and asked his critics to sue him if they have any evidence of wrongdoing.
He also claimed that he had made money before he became a governor and even before Okinbaloye got his job as a TV presenter.
Okinbaloye, however, insisted that the former governor should be accountable for his past actions as a public officer and that if he had nothing to hide, he should be able to answer the question.
