Fasoranti’s Daughter’s Burial [PHOTOS]: South-West Governors, Afenifere Leaders At Funeral Service In Akure

The burial service for late Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Chairman of Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti held today at Anglican Church in Akure, Ondo State.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN; his Counterparts from Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti and Oyo, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and other dignitaries at the Funeral service of late Mrs Olufunke Oyeyemi Asabi Olakunri nee Fasoranti, held at St. David’s Anglican Cathedral Church, Ijomu, Akure, on Monday, 22nd July, 2019.

Olakunrin was shot and killed by masked gunmen in a kidnap attempt, between Kajola and Ore along Ondo-Ore Road on Friday, when she was travelling to Lagos.

The second daughter of Afenifere leader was 58.

Mrs. Olakunri, 58, is survived by an aged father, Pa Fasoranti, and her widower Idowu Olakunri, children and siblings.

The funeral service presided over by the Bishop of Akure Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rev. Simeon Borokini and other Christian leaders.
