Emir Sanusi free 33 inmates in Kano prisons
The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi ll, has paid the sum of N6million as fines and compensation to free 33 inmates of Central and Goron Dutse prisons in Kano.
This was contained in a statement on Monday by DSP Musbahu Lawan, CPRO Kano Command.
During the event, the Emir was quoted as urging the lucky inmates to be of good behaviour in the society and to “make good use of the opportunity them by engaging in productive ventures”.
The monarch told the released inmates to re-enter the society with apologies to their parents and fear of God.
Hecalled on them to refrain from any misconduct or unruly behaviour which may negativity affect their lives.
The Controller of Prisons Kano, Magaji A Abdullah, represented by the DCP Admin Yahuza Aliyu, thanked the Emir for the relentless support and assistance given to inmates and staff of the Kano Command.
