Electricity: Blackout looms Ondo, Ekiti as BEDC loss power on 132KV line
The Company in a Public Announcement on Tuesday said, the disruption of power to the areas is as a result of a technical fault on Akure/Ado/Oshogbo 132KV line which supplies power to the aforementioned areas.
There are strong indications on Tuesday, December 22, that the Ondo and Ekiti States would experience worsening blackout in the days ahead of the Christmas period.
The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), announced that some parts of Ondo and Ekiti states would loss of power due to the technical fault on Akure/Ado/Oshogbo 132KV line.
The company disclosed to its customers in Akure Township, Owo, Ado-Ekiti, lkere-Ekiti, lgbara-Oke, Owena, llaramokin, lju-ltaogbolu, ldanre, Ogbese, lfon and its environs of the loss of power on the Oshogbo-Akure 132KV line.
The Company in a Public Announcement on Tuesday said, the disruption of power to the areas is as a result of a technical fault on Akure/Ado/Oshogbo 132KV line which supplies power to the aforementioned areas.
The Company appeals to the customers to be patience and assured that normal supply will be restored immediately the fault is cleared by the engineers.
“The Management of BEDC Electricity Plc. wishes to apologize to its esteemed customers under our business units in Ado-Ekiti, Ikere both in Ekiti state, Akure and Owo both in Ondo state over the disruption in electricity supply to their areas, since Tuesday 22nd November 2020 at about 9.30am.
“The outage was caused by a fault on the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) line from Osogbo.
“The TCN engineers are currently working hard to ensure the fault is cleared soonest.
“We regret any inconveniences caused by this disruption in power supply and assure that restoration shall be done as soon as the problem is resolved.
“Thank you for your understanding”.
