Ekiti Varsity Hospital Workers Protest Over Unpaid Salaries

Workers at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti have occupied the Hospital premises to press home their pending demands from the state government and the hospital management.

The protesters occupied the front gate of the teaching hospital on Monday causing a standstill of traffic and activities along the hospital road.

They were singing solidarity songs and vowed to increase the intensity of the protest day by day.

The workers are aggrieved that the state government has not met their demands for payment of monthly salary arrears.

As of the time of filling this report, the protest is still going on.
