Ekiti OPC Warns Niyi Apase Over Attack On Members
Hoodlums suspected to be led by former State Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Niyi Adedipe popularly knows as Apase has launched an attacked on members of an Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) at the Ori-Apata, Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti, leaving properties and vehicle damaged and one person wounded with severe injuries.
Niyi Adedipe (Apase) was among the seven suspects standing trial in murder’s case and complicity in the killing of former chairman NURTW in Ekiti State, Chief Omolafe Aderiye that has just been freed on Tuesday 29 January 2018 from the court.
The Chairman of the OPC in Ekiti State, Mr. Sola Ojo explained that, the attacked was aim at him and the show that flagrant disregard for the constituted authority, he cautioned the Niyi Adedipe- Apase Group against fomenting trouble in the state, there would cause the breakdown of peace and tranquillity currently being enjoyed in the state.
Speaking with the newsmen, the injured member of OPC, Tope Ajibola, who has cuts and bruises all over his body, said Niyi Apase has arrived the area with his boys threatening them with sticks and stones and injures in the process, he said the matter has been reported at the Police Headquarters for appropriate action.
