Ekiti new varsity commences first admission, cut UTME scored marks to 160
The newly created institution in Ekiti, the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, lkere-Ekiti (formerly College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti) has commenced the first admissions into her Degree and Pre-Degree programmes for the 2020/21 academic session.
The institution being the first to admit the students, the institution has reduced the scored UTME marks to 160 or above in the 2020 UTME.
In a press statement released on Thursday by the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Gbenga Ojo, said candidates who scored 160 marks or above in the 2020 UTME and who possess 5 O’ Level Credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings are eligible to apply.
He said “the institution directed prospective candidates to visit the JAMB portal to effect a change of institution and course (where necessary) to Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) accordingly.

He also said the candidates seeking admission into the Pre-Degree programmes of the University and who possess 5 O’Level Credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings are to apply online via www.portal.bouesti.edu.ng upon the payment of a non-refundable application fee of Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00).
The statement further advised interested candidates to visit the University portal www.portal.bouesti.edu.ng for further information and enquiries.
