Ekiti monarch charges FG on security, seeks urgent repair on Akure-Ikere-Ado road
The Ogoga of lkere Kingdom, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado has charged the Federal government of Nigeria to tighten up security in the country in preparation for the next presidential election.
The monarch also charged the government to as a matter of urgency begins the construction of Ado- lkere – Akure road as the road had become an object of ridicule to both the state and federal governments
In his new year message made available to journalists in lkere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi who recognised security and poverty as the major challenges faced by the government insisted that the federal government should tackle security issues in the country headlong if it was to have a smooth presidential election in 2023.
“Poverty, like security is the major problem of Nigeria. Both should be speedily addressed to ensure we have a free and fair election next year and a hitch-free transition”, the monarch stated.

He again charged the government to begin the construction of the boundary road between lkere and Akure noting that the road had become an eyesore and object of ridicule.
He noted that the state of the road linking the two Western Nigeria states of Ekiti and Ondo States was appalling insisting the road should be constructed on time to give credence to the infrastructural commitment of the government.
He prayed for all Ekiti and lkere sons and daughters for the safety of lives properties as well as prosperity in the new year.
