Ekiti Guber Updates: Appeal Court To Be Deliver Judgment Today

The Appeal Court will today (Thursday) deliver the judgment of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and it’s Governorship Candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka’s appeal against the tribunal judgement which affirmed the victory of Governor Kayode Fayemi at the July 14, 2018 Ekiti Governorship election.

Fayemi contested the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his victory was challenged by Olusola Eleka of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Eleka had filed a petition against him, alleging series of election irregularities and malpractices.

On January 28, the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja unanimously struck out Eleka’s case and ruled that Fayemi is the duly elected Governor of the state

Source said the Appeal court to start read the judgment today by 6PM.
