Ekiti Guber Tussle: Tribunal Dismissed Olusola-Eleka Petition

The Ekiti State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the petition of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the declaration of Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the governorship poll that held in the state on July 14th 2018.

Delivering the 3-hour judgement on Monday, the three-man panel Tribunal headed by Justice Suleiman Belgore held that the petition of the PDP’s candidate, Olusola-Eleka lacking merit and there is no enough evidence to declare him (petitioner) winner of the poll.

The Judge held that PDP and it’s candidate in the election didn’t prove their case beyond the reasonable doubt.
