Ekiti Guber: Segun Oni formally declares for PDP, Send letter to Caretaker Chairman
We have directed our members to join the PDP at their respective Wards and that, as soon as the Covid-19 restrictions permit, we would like to mark our declaration with a rally at Ado Ekiti.
The former Ekiti State Governor, Engr. Segun Oni has finally joined its former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following shabby treatment meted in the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
In a letter sent to the Ekiti State Chairman PDP Caretaker Committee, Senator Senator Hosea Agboola dated on May 24, 2020 and signed by Oni’s Coordinator Chairman and the former House of Representatives member, Dr Ife Arowosoge.
Oni said “We have directed our members to join the PDP at their respective Wards and that, as soon as the Covid-19 restrictions permit, we would like to mark our declaration with a rally at Ado Ekiti. This will be in full consultation and agreement with you”.
Oni, who defected to APC in June, 2014 and held the position of Deputy National Chairman, and was contested for governorship election in 2018 but loses to Kayode Fayemi in the primary election.
