Ekiti Election: Osinbajo, Oyegun, Tinubu, Others Storm Ekiti For Fayemi

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo will on Tuesday visit Ekiti State to flag off the governorship campaign of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Kayode Fayemi, for the July 14 election.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Media and Publicity of the Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation, Wole Olujobi.

He said Osinbajo would be joined by APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Chairman of the National Campaign Committee for Election, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, as well as members of his committee.

Olujobi, however, raised the alarm over an alleged move by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to instigate workers against Fayemi in a campaign of calumny, including mobilising thugs to cause violence in the state.

Meanwhile, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Monday called on the APC to accept defeat in good faith if it loses the governorship election.

Atiku, who visited Gov. Ayo Fayose in Ado Ekiti, said losing an election to a rival party should be seen in the light of the concession to defeat by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
