Ekiti Election: Let’s Support/Vote Olusola Eleka For Governor – IDF

Ikere Development Forum led by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, has appealed to all Ikere Indigenes as well as Ekiti at large to support the deputy governor of the Ekiti State and the governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Professor Kolapo Olubunmi Olusola.

Ikere Development Forum, IDF, is an open organisation group for all the sons and daughters of Ikere Kingdom.

The group said, the leadership forum are met several meetings to advocate for a credible candidate that will lead Ekiti State moving forward and agreed to rally round and support any Ikere indigene that emerges as a candidate of any of the two leading parties, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Ekiti State governorship election scheduled to hold on July 14.

The Ikere Leadership Forum at its January 2017 meeting besides advocating for a credible candidate that will lead Ekiti State going forward agreed to rally round and support any Ikere indigene that emerges as a candidate of any leading party in the Ekiti State governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 14, 2018.

This resolution was reaffirmed at several meetings held by the Ikere Development Forum both in Ikere and Lagos.

By a divine hand and with support from the Governor of Ekiti State HE Chief Ayo Fayose and other party leaders, an accomplished indigene of the town and Deputy Governor of Ekiti State Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party. The choice of Prof Kolapo Olusola Eleka could only have been divine given the level of high wire intrigues and influence of money in our politics today.

Thus we consider this a privilege and a major opportunity for us to rally round this noble son of ours to reach this promised land and this is without any attempt to bridge the rights of any individual and others who may not share the philosophy of his party.

Prof Kolapo Olusola Eleka is an accomplished academician, a man of character and integrity that we all should be proud of. A product of Annunciation School and the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) amongst others. He has the temperament, knowledge and capacity to move Ekiti State forward.

We, therefore, use this opportunity to appeal to all our people irrespective of whatever differences we may have at the moment to let us rise up in the spirit of oneness to support the Eleka/Ogunsakin ticket for Ekiti State governor on Saturday, July 14, 2018 just like we did for our Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua in 1991.

Let’s not forget that at the end of the day, all politics is local.
