BREAKING: Nigeria records 17 deaths; 220 new cases of Coronavirus, total now 2388

Nigeria on Saturday night, May 2, has recorded another 220 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and seventeen deaths in Eighteen (18) states and Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 2388 and 85 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Saturday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Kano, Borno, Kaduna, Kebbi, Edo, Sokoto, Oyo, Bauchi, Zamfara, Yobe, Kwara, Plateau, Ebonyi, Enugu, Osun, Nasarawa and Gombe states as well as Abuja, the country capital.

The centre also said that seventeen person deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 85.
