The Chairman of Ward 8, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ado Ekiti, Afolabi Olaife Clement has been abducted and detention by some group who belonged to the state governor.
The abduction took place in the wee hours of Sunday, June 21 2020 at the home of the chairman, where security operatives working with the group picked up the chairman to head to the yet unknown.
Source gathered that the abduction followed several days of trailing and pressuring the Ward executives to sign a fake resolution to suspend the Special Adviser, Political to the President, Senator Babafemi Ojudu.
Senator Ojudu has been at the forefront of demanding accountability in the party and state governance in recent times to the chagrin of the State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor who is also from Ado Ekiti has been threatened by the Governor to obtain the suspension of his kinsman if he is to continue as his Deputy Governor, or be impeached.
The Chairman of Ward 8, so far stood firm against all odds, in the absence of any legitimate grounds for suspension or discipline as prescribed by the APC constitution.
Fayemi who is currently behind the chaos at the national level of the party, working with Edo State PDP Governor, Obaseki and his cohorts at the national level has been an agent of destabilization of the All Progressives Congress working with the opposition.
