Ekiti 2022: PDP delegates drop Eleka, meet Fayose in Lagos

Ahead of the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State, the ward chairmen and other executives in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikere Local Government Area of the state visited former governor, Ayodele Fayose in Lagos to support his leadership style.

The meeting was held in Fayose’s residence in Ikeja on Sunday in a bid to rally support for the preferred candidate of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, Hon Bisi Kolawole.

Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that the former governor, Ayo Fayose, had endorsed Otunba Bisi Kolawole, the incumbent Chairman of PDP in the state as his preferred candidate for the 2022 governorship election.

Fayose who posted the videos of the meeting in popular PDP WhatsApp group, describes the meeting as successful ones after their candidates lost out at the recently concluded South West congress.

In the Videos, most of the delegates are from Ikere Ekiti, the town of the former deputy governor, Professor Olusola Eleka, who is also one of the governorship aspirants of the party.  

Speaking at the meeting, Fayose urged the delegates to work hard and ensure that Bisi Kolawole becomes Ekiti State Governor come 2022.

Fayose said the party’s chairman will transform Ekiti as governor of the state.

The former governor described Kolawole as an experienced politician, who knows what to do at the right time.

The meeting was attended by numerous PDP leaders; State chairman and an aspirant, Bisi Kolawole; former of House of Representatives, Segun Adekola, former Ado Local government chairman, Deji Ogunsakin and other former LG chairmen.
