Ekiti 2022: Olujimi speaks about her ambition
Ahead of the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State, the former deputy governor of the state, Biodun Olujimi, has debunked the rumour that she dropped her intention to contest the governorship post.
Olujimi, the current senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District in the National Assembly described the information as false and misleading, maintaining that she could not and never be part of an arrangement to trade -off her ambition.
A statement released on Tuesday by the Personal Assistant to the lawmaker, Hon Ojo-Ade Fajana, said the time was not ripe for Senator Olujimi to flag off her campaign with the enormity of work ahead of the party.
Olujimi, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not yet fully within the ambit of the Repositioning Movement. The threat from the other faction was still palpable.
She further said that there would have been no basis, therefore; wasting precious time she could spend to add values to the areas of the critical needs of the party, with the other leaders, rather than rabble-rousing.
