Ekiti 2018: I did not give a money to any delegate – Fayemi
Dr John Kayode Fayemi, winner of the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti state said the delegates voted for him without giving them any money.
Fayemi stated when he interviewed him on of the Private Television Stations in Nigeria, Channel tv when one of the reporters, Seun Okinbaloye asking him the questions during his interview.
“Seun Okinbaloye: How much did you give to delegates?
“Fayemi: I did not give a dime to any delegate. I did not give any money, they voted for me on the platter of gold because I put them there as Excos”.
Fayemi, a former governor of the state between 2010 and 2014 and presently the minister of mines and steel development.
He got 941 delegate votes, out of the 2,313 valid votes cast. His nearest competitor was also a former governor, Segun Oni, who got 481 votes.
