The former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has formally declared for governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Party, APC for ahead of the Ekiti State gubernatorial election fixed for July 14th this year.
He declared on Saturday, April 14 at the state party secretariat, Ado Ekiti, the state capital in a mammoth crowd of his supporters
Fayemi, a present minister of Mines and Steel Development under the president Mohammed Buhari his ready to take the expression of interest and the nomination forms on Monday, April 16 in Abuja.
Fayemi was governor between October 2010 and 2014. He lost the June 21, 2014 governorship election to the incumbent, Ayodele Fayose.
