EFCC Storm Ekiti, Seals Shops
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday sealed some shops allegedly owned by internet Fraudsters, popularly called ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State.
The EFCC operatives were said to have stormed the shops at about 10.35am along Ajilosun area to paste the sealing order on some shops. The inscription: “Order from EFCC’
Meanwhile, the aide to former governor of the state, Lere Olayinka has raised the alarm over the operations of the EFCC operatives in the state which is tantamount to low-flow of business the state.
Olayinka posted on his Facebook timeline :
“The way EFCC is going, no one will come to Ado Ekiti to build a house or rent a shop to do any major business.’
‘Today, operatives of the EFCC went from one location to the others, raiding shops and harassing people.’
“Did Fayemi and his APC govt inform Magu’s EFCC that anyone seen doing well and building good house at good location in Ekiti is into Yahoo Yahoo or has stolen govt money?”
“Is Gov Fayemi aware that the economy of Ekiti is being killed by the EFCC?”
“Will anyone bring his money to a State where EFCC operatives now raid even hotels?”
“When did EFCC start operating like SARS?”
“Won’t these EFCC dumbheads start mounting road blocks and doing STOP and SEARCH soon?”
