The suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, may soon know his fate as President Muhammadu Buhari has given the panel investigating him the deadline to submit its report.
A report by Leadership newspaper indicates that the president has officially set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up to investigate Magu.
Newsflash247 gathered that the commission is expected to submit its report on or before Wednesday, August 19.
The panel is investigating the alleged financial impropriety and mismanagement of recovered assets levelled against Magu.
Magu was also accused of insubordination to the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation, (AGF).
He was accused of not providing enough evidence for the extradition of Diezani Alison-Madueke and alleged late action on the investigation of P&ID leading to a legal dispute.
Some witnesses have reportedly testified against the embattled EFCC chief while the latter was said to have been served with the allegations and terms of reference on Saturday, August 8.
