A doctor has passed away after collapsing at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Edo state.
The deceased identified as Dr. Okeoghene Egigba from Okwovwori, Amukpe in Sapele area of Delta state, died in the early hours of on Saturday after slumping while on duty in the hospital.
Until his death, Dr. Okeoghene was a Senior Registrar in the Department of Surgery.

According to reports, he was undergoing training to become a full fledged surgeon before his sudden death.
It was gathered that the department of surgery was shut down on Saturday to mourn the death.
