Drama in Ekiti as APC returned Buhari’s Aide Palliatives
Ojudu, who donated the Bags of rice to the Ekiti Central District, covered the five local government areas of the state since March during the lockdown.
Following the All Progressives Congress chieftain and Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Affairs, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, attacked the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi over the governor had lost focus and deprived the state of good governance, the APC State Deputy Chairman, Sola Elesin on Monday led some Fayemi loyalists in Ado LG to return the Covid -19 Rice donated by Ojudu to the wards in Ekiti state since March.
Source gathered that Fayemi’s loyalists led by Sola Elesin on Monday morning, June 22 to drop 13 bags of 25kg rice in front of Senator Babafemi Ojudu’s gate in Ado Ekiti at about 10.30 am.
Ojudu, who donated the Bags of rice to the Ekiti Central District, covered the five local government areas of the state since March during the lockdown.
According to the loyalist of Ojudu, said “It is sheer pettiness at play, if the effort of saving the lives of Ekiti APC Party members especially the Constituency of Senator Babafemi Ojudu against hunger during the lockdown, can be turned to a melodrama just to score cheap political point by ordering the Party EXCOS loyal to Governor Kayode Fayemi to return part of the bags of rice brought since March, 2020 this morning Monday 22, June 2020.
“This in their shallow mindedness is to replace the Rice, Beans and Semovita, Senator Babafemi Ojudu sent to all the wards in Ekiti Central District in the last week of March as Covid palliatives.
“We have it on good authority that Fayemi had ordered his people to return the rice that was distributed in March which must have been consumed, by replacing the 250 bags of Farm-Ally packaged rice with 13 bags of Mama Gold rice.
“We wonder how a government that claimed to value the lives of her people will openly toy with the idea of returning the palliatives, Ekiti APC members are to enjoy.

“It is disappointing that Ekiti APC Grassroot members are being neglected by those they have worked for during the elections and are now being used to prove points in the same government they fought for.
“This is another fact to buttress our observations of unnecessary politicking and the one man party system in Ekiti APC.
“We advise the Fayemi led Excos to give relief materials to the vulnerable in the state Party, fumigate all public places and desist from “politicising” the welfarism of Ekiti State APC members”.
