Drama As President Sacks Aide For Giving Testimony At TB Joshua’s Church

The President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, has sacked Fatmata Kargbo, his chief of protocol (SCOP), after she went to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) which is owned by TB Joshua, a Nigerian clergyman to testify of how she has been favoured by God.

President Julius Maada Bio Kargbo who was featured on Emmanuel TV owned by TB Joshua, had testified of how God favoured her with her recent appointment to serve as an aide to the President and how she has been able to complete her new house which she had for many years, left abandoned.

Kargbo speaking to the congregation, said that her story was now different as she showed the photos of her luxury mansion which she completed recently.

“I want to thank God for blessing me with this job as SCOP to the President of Sierra Leone, Ambassador at large and the blessings that come with it. If you look closely at this picture you will see the luxurious house God has blessed me with.

I was living in a single room apartment. But my story is now different,” she said. Her testimony which was intended to amplify the goodness of God, however, sparked an outrage in the West African country.

The President shortly thereafter relieved her of her duties even as he ordered the Anti-Corruption Commission (AAC) of the country to carry out investigations on her finances and ascertain her source of wealth which made her erect such a structure in a very short period of time.

Fatmata Kargbo at SCOAN The AAC has accordingly sent a letter to the AAC saying that it will be looking through her previous asset declarations in accordance to the anti-graft law of Sierra Leone which requires public officials to declare their assets three months before and after leaving office.

“The Anti-Corruption Commission has opened an official investigation into the conduct of the official and her testimony.

We will also look at her source of wealth in acquiring her house and other properties. If it contradicts the anti-corruption act or we find instances of unexplained wealth, she will be charged to court and will be asked to pay a fine,” the AAC letter to her read.
