Deputy Speaker, Lasun Dumps APC, Joins PDP

The Deputy Speaker of House of Representatves, Hon. Yusuf Lasun has officially dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP

Lasun joins Dogara who also defected to the PDP last week Thursday.

Lasun who lost out in the APC primaries in Osun State as a result of the direct primaries used in electing the party’s flagbearer in the recently concluded election.

He has accused the party leadership of bias as elections held after the Guber primaries in Osun were not subjected to direct means of elections.

He also declared that the national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, will destroy the APC.

Lasun had lost to Adegboyega Oyetola at the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the Osun election in September.

Oyetola, Governor Aregbesola’s Chief of Staff since 2010, scored 127,017 votes, while Lasun polled 21,975 votes.
