Nigeria has recorded 14 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 288 and 7 deaths.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, April 8, made the announcement Thursday night on its official Twitter account.
The new cases are spread across Lagos and Delta states.
The NCDC said, “Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 13 in Lagos and 1 in Delta State
“As at 09:30 pm 9th April there are 288 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fifty-one have been discharged with seven deaths
Following the confirmation of new cases on Thursday night, sixteen states and Abuja in Nigeria now have at least one case.

Akwa Ibom- 5
Kaduna- 5
Ogun- 4
Enugu- 2
