COVID-19: Thruways Reality Company Donates Food Items to Poor Households in Ekiti
Following the Governor Kayode Fayemi’s directive to lockdown the Ekiti State for two weeks in order to battle the spread of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, the Thruways Reality Company based in Lagos on Thursday, April 9, has donated the food items to the poor households in Ikere- Ekiti, Ikere Local government area of the state.
The donation is to compliment the efforts of the state government in combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Items which included; 30 Bags of Rice, 100 Packs of Noodles, 80 bags of Kings vegetable oil, Sugar, Garri among others.
In a statement by the Thruways Reality Company founders; Mr Gbenga Akinde and Mr Tosin Oluyede, the firm expressed empathy over the pandemic disease and commended Governor Kayode Fayemi’s efforts in tackling it.
The firm said the decision to donate the food items to Ikere vulnerable citizens to help cushion the effect of the lockdown on Nigerians.
By the contribution, the firm has joined the growing list of Corporate Nigerians that have risen to the challenge of making substantial contributions to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
Akinde and Oluyede, both are indigenous of Ikere Ekiti have also advised the Ekiti Indigenes, particularly their own town, Ikere to assist the state government over the challenge of making substantial contributions to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
