A former governor of Kaduna state, Ramalan Yero, and three others were on Thursday, May 31, remanded in prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna.
Newsflash247 gathered that Justice Mohammed Shuaibu gave the order following the arraignment of the defendants by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Yero and the other defendants were charged with four counts bordering on money laundering, criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of public fund, and breach of trust.
However, they pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to them.
Newsflash247 previously reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission detained former governor of Kaduna state, Alhaji Ramalan Yero, at its Kaduna zonal office.
Yero was reportedly detained alongside a former minister, Nuhu Somo Way; a former Kaduna state PDP chairman, Abubakar Gaya Haruna; and the former secretary to the state government, Hamza Ishaq.
