Cosmetic Horror: 22-year-old Woman Dies Within Minutes of Buttock Enlargement Surgery

A young woman has lost her life after undergoing a cheap buttock enlargement surgery by an unlicensed beautician in Russia. The woman, identified as Mika Shabasova, 22, was reportedly a friend of the beautician, who had only completed a two-week course in cosmetic procedures.

Mika died within ten minutes of receiving an anaesthetic injection from the beautician, who was working from her home in Makhachkala. The beautician, named as Uma M, 31, had no medical qualification or license to perform such surgeries. She had advertised her services online, offering lip, cheek, and butt enlargements for £154.

According to Daily Mail, Uma M told the police that she had asked Mika if she had any allergies before applying lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to her skin. She claimed that she had done the same procedure on herself and other clients without any problems.

However, something went wrong with Mika’s surgery and she stopped breathing. Uma M called an ambulance but it was too late to save her. Mika was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have launched an investigation into the tragic incident and have placed Uma M under house arrest. She faces up to six years in prison if convicted of causing death by negligence.

Mika’s friend, who did not want to be named, said that he had warned her not to go ahead with the buttock surgery. He said:

“The beautician who was supposed to perform the operation only recently received a certificate. She completed a two-week course and became a cosmetologist. Prior to that, she was doing lash extensions.”

He added that Mika was a beautiful and kind person who did not need any cosmetic enhancements. He said:

“She was very pretty and always smiling. She loved life and wanted to make it more beautiful.”

Mika’s death is another example of the cosmetic horror stories that have emerged from Russia in recent years. Many women have fallen victim to unqualified and unscrupulous beauticians who offer cheap and risky procedures without proper safety measures or hygiene standards.

Experts have warned that such procedures can cause serious complications such as infections, blood clots, nerve damage, scarring, and even death. They have urged people to do thorough research before choosing a cosmetic surgeon and to avoid any deals that seem too good to be true.
