Emerging reports have indicated that the former Military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, rumour of his death.
Newsflash247 reports that an online media had published that the former president passed on Sunday morning.
The report which quoted a family source said the ex-military ruler died on Sunday morning in Minna, Niger State.
Though, Babangida has been suffering from an undisclosed illness for several years.
Babangida, who ruled the country from August 27, 1985 to August 26, 1993, will be most remembered by Nigerians for annulling the June 12, 1993 presidential election presumably won by the late business mogul, Chief M.K.O Abiola.
Another source said “the report is false as General Babangida(Rtd) is alive, hale and hearty.
According to Earl Yemi Saka said “My attention has been drawn to a misinformation in public domain, just as I have been inundated with calls about the purported demise of General General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida(Rtd).
“The public is hereby advised to disregard such report.
