The name of Sitting governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed appeared on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC list as for Kwara south instead of current serving Senator Rafiu Ibrahim.
The governor won the primary election but was latter dropped after the defeat PDP got from the bye election which shows the governor do not have electoral value in the senatorial district, reason why he was dropped for the serving senator Rafiu Ibrahim.
