Nigeria on Monday night, June 15, has recorded 573 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 16,658 and 424 deaths.
The announcement was made on Monday night by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, in a tweet via its official Twitter account.
The agency also said that eight (8) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 424.
NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 5349 patients were discharged.
According to the agency, Lagos recorded 216 cases, while Rivers followed with 103. Oyo recorded 68 cases, 40 in Edo, 21 in Kano, 20 in Gombe, 17 in the FCT, 13 in Delta.
NCDC also further revealed that 12 cases each were recorded in Plateau and Bauchi States, 10 in Niger, 9 in Kebbi while 8 cases each recorded in Ogun and Ondo States. Seven recorded in Abia, five in Nasarawa and one case each recorded in Borno, Kwara, Benue and Anambra States.
This means Nigeria’s total now stands at 16,658
