Chef Dammy Accuses Prophet Adegoke of Threatening Her Life After Cooking Marathon Controversy

A Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, has alleged that her life is in danger, due to threats, curses, and bullying from a pastor, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah, who organized a cooking marathon in June.

Chef Dammy, who became an internet sensation after participating in the cooking marathon, where she cooked for 120 hours non-stop, posted on her Instagram page on Thursday night that the pastor told her to prepare for war and that he would make her unable to stand on her feet again.

She said that she has been living in fear and almost died a few days ago. She added that she will be going to Lagos for an interview soon to reveal more details about the ordeal.

She wrote, “By the time we are done with you, you will not be able to stand on your feet again”, this was from the acclaimed “people of God”. Among many of the countless insults, curses, threats and bullying.

“Now, I understand the content of 1 Peter 4:17, Surely judgment will begin from the house of God. The first time the man of God tried to challenge my God he failed, then he told me to prepare for war. But these are the people of God, are they not supposed to be Godly?

“Assuming I had died a few days ago; people would’ve understood better what I’ve been facing, by the testimony of those around me. But I’ll still try and bind my piece because it is a testimony that others can learn from.

“I know about gods that is why I chose the undefeatable God. Surely they shall gather, but they that be with me are more than they that be with them. I’ve been in constant fear for my life.

“Countless times they’ve tried to destroy me as promised, but with God I keep moving as if nothing ever happened. Shouldn’t we have gotten over this? I mean it’s 4 months already, guess you will not stop until I stop breathing? I’ll try to update this piece, while I try to hold onto my peace.”

In another post, she wrote, “I’ll be having an interview in Lagos soon. And I’m ready to let everything out once I get back. “But in case anything happens to me; Adegoke Jeremiah A.K.A Billion Dollars Prophet, hold him responsible, he told me to prepare for war and we are both on it.”

Chef Dammy’s posts have generated a lot of reactions from her followers and fans, who expressed their concern and support for her. Some advised her to report the matter to the police and seek legal action against the pastor.

The cooking marathon controversy started in June when Chef Dammy claimed that she cooked for 120 hours non-stop at a programme organized by Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah’s church in Ekiti State. She said that she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, which was previously held by Hildaild Bacci who cooked for 100 hours in 2023.

However, her claim was disputed by some people who accused her of lying and cheating. They alleged that she did not cook continuously and that she had breaks and helpers during the marathon. They also said that she did not follow the Guinness World Record guidelines and that she did not have any official verification or certification from Guinness.

Chef Dammy defended herself by saying that she had evidence and witnesses to prove her claim. She also said that she did not do it for fame or money but for passion and charity. She said that she donated all the food she cooked to orphanages and prisons.

Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah also supported Chef Dammy and said that he invited her to his church to showcase her talent and inspire others. He said that he was proud of her achievement and that he did not have any ulterior motive.

However, it seems that things have turned sour between Chef Dammy and Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah since then. The reason for their fallout is not clear yet, but Chef Dammy has accused him of threatening her life and trying to destroy her.
