Champions League: Chelsea helped by two penalties to win Qarabag 4-0, qualify for Round of 16
Chelsea is through to the Champions League Round of 16, after a comprehensive 4-0 win over Qarabag on Wednesday night.
Antonio Conte’s men needed to win at the Baku National Stadium to make it into the knockout rounds and were helped by two penalties and a first-half sending off.
Qarabag captain, Rashad Sadygov, saw red in the 18th minute after pulling Willian’s arm down in the box.
Eden Hazard converted from the spot to make it 1-0 before Willian himself doubled the Blues’ lead.
Cesc Fabregas netted another penalty before Willian rounded off scoring.
The Premier League champions now have 10 points from five matches.
