Nigerians have reacted to the attempt of killing Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries in Edo State.
Newsflash Nigeria had reported that unknown gunmen ambushed the convoy of Apostle Johnson Suleman on Warake road in Auchi, Edo State on Friday evening, killing seven persons including three police officers.
It was gathered that Suleman returned from a foreign trip and was heading to a destination in Edo State when the gunmen attacked his convoy around the Auchi area of the state.
During the attack, the gunmen opened fire on Suleman’s convoy, allegedly killing three of his police orderlies and four yet-to-be-identified persons.
Confirming the incident, Apostle Suleman who lamented that he has been going through some tough times, said he cannot be killed.
He confirmed that the incident was an assassination attempt but vowed not to mention the names of those behind the attack.
He said, “Things are happening that I have been quiet about. Even if you are the most careless person on earth, you will not give yourself to so many scandals.
“Things are happening that people don’t know, even though one or two persons take advantage of it along the line. The reason I’m coming out to speak now is because they have done all that and discovered that I’m still moving on.
“They decided to make an attempt on my life. I just escaped an assassination attempt where seven people were killed. My car was attacked.
“The people who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names but I won’t do that. You can’t kill me, my life is in the hand of God”.
Reacting to the incident, some Nigerians said Suleman’s bulletproof vehicle saved him and nothing else.

@Simon_ekpa: “We must learn a lesson, Apostle Suleiman was saved by a bulletproof SUV while others paid the price with their life. This is a lesson that everyone in Islamic Nigeria must learn. Fulani want to k*ll him & they will not stop, yet he preaches one Nigeria in his church”
@De_SunGoddess: “In all of this Apostle Suleiman chaos.. all I can say is, he knows he has enemies who are after his life. So when getting a bulletproof car, why not get one for your guards too? Or do you feel like they’re just sacrificial lambs who would die in your stead like the 7 people did 2day?”
@SirDavidBent: “Apostle Suleman escaped that assassination attempt only because he was in a bulletproof car. Let’s not start any theatrics about “Blood of Jesus” or anything. The crux of the issue is that lives were lost. Those people had families. When will insecurity end? That is the question.”
@johnmoyewa: “Apostle Suleman could have been kïlled !! Anointing oil didn’t save him, stickers didn’t save him, and he was saved by his bulletproof car. Madira oo. Make Dem dey deceive you. R.I.P to those that died.”
@MadeOfStreet: “I’m just thinking about The Man of God, Apostle Suleman using bulletproof car and armed security guards Edo State.”
@AbdulMahmud01: “Terribly saddened by the news of the dastardly attack on my brother and client @APOSTLESULEMAN this evening in Auchi, Edo State by suspected kidnappers. The scene of the attack on Warrake Road, Auchi, is like a scene taken out of a war movie. To His Grace, Suleman is unhurt.”
@Tutsy22: “Apostle Suleman’s convoy attacked in Auchi… Bullet-proof car saved him but 4 policemen, a driver and a lady were gunned down.”
@OpeyemiAkinyod2: “You know“They” want to kill you, yet you put only yourself and your family in a bulletproof car and let others die untimely and you are here talking Gibberish. This heavenly race is not for the Ordinary.pls @PoliceNG invite Apostle Suleiman for questioning, since he knows his attackers”.
@Emmanueladiotu1: “Apostle Suleiman should speak up on the suspect of the assassination attempt on him. He and his family were and would always be in a bulletproof car but his entourage won’t be. Subsequent attacks put his entourage at risk. Saying you won’t expose the suspect isn’t ideal”
