Buhari’s integrity lured me into APC – Gov Ayade
Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, on Thursday, has revealed the reason why he joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Prof Ayade, who recently dumped the PDP for the ruling APC, spoke in Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State.
The governor said the integrity and simplicity of President Buhari lured him into the APC.
Ayade was one of the 12 members of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), who paid Sallah homage to the President in his country home.
The governor said the President has lived above board in his entire life.
Ayade said: “Buhari has lured me into APC through his simplicity and integrity, a quality that is rare to find in most people.

“For instance, the President has lived in the same house structure for the past 30 years, yet nothing has been added, being a President twice yet living the same house till today and no false acquisition of wealth.”
According to him, the President has agreed to inaugurate some projects undertaken by his administration in Cross River State by September.
He listed a cocoa processing factory and a rice milling company as two of the projects that will be inaugurated by the President during the visit.
