Buhari’s government should release Dasuki – APC chieftain, Lekan Ojo
The security expert said Dasuki could be placed under security surveillance if he was considered a threat to the nation.
He lamented that Dasuki’s continuous detention was no longer lawful and was being regarded as “political vendetta.”

Ojo, also the National Coordinator of the Yoruba Youth Alliance (YYA), said the war against corruption should be lawful, advising government to respect orders asking it to free the former NSA.
”This prince of Sultanate council of Sokoto has not been declared guilty of treasonable felony that could warrant him to be detained for a long time.
“He should be granted bail even conditionally. He has not been convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction.
“I also want to suggest that he should be released and serious security surveillance be place around him in case he is suspected to be a security threat,” he said.
Daskuki recently spoke on the intervention of President Jonathan regime in tackling Boko-Haram and recovery of dozens of villages which led to the smooth conduct of 2015 general elections in the North-East.
Dasuki stated this from detention in his foreword to a 308-page new book titled: “Boko Haram Media War- An Encounter with the Spymaster” written by Yushau A. Shuaib.
“In the war-front are evident success stories which Shuaib has mentioned in some of the articles that featured in this book, especially on media relations, self-censorship, gallantry in recovering dozens of cities and towns among other declassified revelations,” he said.
“In fact, without our intervention in ensuring the defeat of Boko Haram, the electorates could not have had the opportunity to exercise their franchise.
“It is a fact that we provided peace and stability that afforded Nigerians, especially in the North-East in voting for their governors, legislators and others in the 2015 elections.”
