Buhari summons Kachikwu, Baru over fuel scarcity
Following the current fuel scarcity witnessed during the Yelutide season, President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly summoned the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu and Maikanti Baru, Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Vanguard reports.
Others summoned by the President include, Mordecai Ladan, Director, Department of Petroleum Resources; Mr. Femi Olawore, Executive Secretary, Major Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN; Mr. Mike Osatuyi, National Operation Controller, Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN; and Mr Olufemi Adewole, Executive Secretary, Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association, DAPPMA.
The report said the meeting between the president and the stakeholders in the petroleum sector is scheduled to hold on Monday.
The meeting is said to be targeted at finding a lasting solution to the fuel crisis in the country.
According to the report, the meeting will review all the issues involved in the scarcity, embrace the inputs of stakeholders and adopt measures that could assist to end it.
