President Muhammadu Buhari and senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC met on Wednesday.
The meeting follows the defection of over 50 lawmakers on the floor of the National Assembly on Tuesday.
According to Punch, the meeting which was held at the First Lady Conference Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
