President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met behind closed doors with some governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Seven in number, six of the APC governors are from the north with the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi completing them seven.
The meeting took place shortly after the President returned to Abuja after spending five days in Daura, Katsina State, where he had gone to vote in the just held governorship and state house of assembly elections.
The northern governors at the meeting were Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state, Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, Nasir el-Rufai, of Kaduna state, Abdulaziz Yari, Zamfara state, Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa state, and Kassim Shetima of Borno state.
