The Seven National Executive officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned in protest against what they called “poor leadership”.
The offices were promised to remain loyal to the PDP but said they will not be able to work with the current national working committee (NWC).
The party chieftains in different letters addressed to the National Secretary of the party on Tuesday alleged being sidelined and unfairly treated by the National Chairman, Uche Secondus.
Those who resigned from their offices are deputy members of the party’s NWC.
Those who resigned include:
Deputy National Financial Secretary;
Deputy Legal Adviser;
Deputy National Auditor;
Deputy National Publicity Secretary;
Deputy Women Leader and
the Deputy Organising Secretary.

According the report by TheCable, said could not confirm the seventh officer.
They particularly alleged that there is a lack of financial transparency in the leadership.
A member of the NWC confirmed the resignation to newsmen but said a statement would be issued after an emergency meeting.
